The joy of going for a walk.
Individual attention, fitness, and fun for your dog. Even if you are working from home meetings and chores can make it difficult to take your little buddy outside. Regular walks maintain fitness, give stimulation, and of course allow for toileting. All walks are always on leash so I have full control of your dog and their wellbeing and to get them securely home to you.
The Glombles dog walking experience begins from the moment I pick up your dog from your home or apartment. If you are home your will let me in if not you will leave a key or give me a key (and swipe card if needed in advance). If they are already in their harness or collar I check that they are secure and comfortable then clip on the lead (either yours or I will always have one spare) and put on any other wearables you like them to be in such as bib, jacket or bandana.
If it is sunny we go, if it is rainy we go. Then we go out into the world for fun and fitness, (plus learning new commands if you like), and having the odd treat for being a special and good doggo. During the walk I will be attentive to your dog’s mood, comfort, and looking out for any safety issues. For example all around Rhodes there are rat poison traps, there is food on the ground that I don’t want your dog to touch, little kids, cars, and there are potentially aggressive dogs out and about.
I will pick up all waste, always, as we want your doggo to have a reputation of being tidy. Then when it is time we head back your home tails up and wind in the fur.
They are let inside upclipped and I securely close the door.

FAQs
Do you do in-home pet visits on public holidays?
Yes. You can book any day of the year that my calendar shows available. Public holidays are a time of high demand for pet carers. There is a $100 surcharge for all services on NSW public holidays.
Do you offer on-leash dog walking outside of the Canada Bay LGA?
I serve Rhodes NSW 2138 and its surrounding suburbs. Plus Meadowbank 2114, Ryde 2112, Sydney Olympic Park 2127, Concord 2137, and Wentworth Point 2137. Outside of these areas the only exception to this is a full-day sit where I do not have other obligations and will accept bookings outside of Rhodes, up to 20km.
Remote online dog and pet training is offered worldwide.
Can I drop my dog off to you in Rhodes for their walk?
Yes. If you don’t live in the Rhodes area but want me to walk your doggo we can meet in Rhodes, ideally at Mill Park. Meeting time will be the booked start time. It is important you return for pick up of your pet on time as I will have bookings with other clients that I need to commence.
Can you walk my dog if I am not home?
Yes. If you live in a home you will either provide me with a key or tell me when you keep the spare key. If you live in apartment you will need to provide me with a swipe card this can usually be secured from your real estate agent or strata / body corporate. I have a clean police record and have no interest in your belongings. Naturally, I could not stay in business long if there was even a hint of misconduct on my part. Also no one is going to give a positive testimonial so someone who is untrustworth. I only serve one community, Rhodes, and it is a small community. Extreme care and all precautions are taken with the keys you provide.
I have more than one dog can you take all my dogs?
Yes. When you book simply choose ‘one dog’ and the time you for the walk for example one dog 60 minutes. Then you will see the ‘add ons’ option to add on extra dogs for the total number of dogs I will be walking for your household. There is a small surcharge for each extra dog.
Do you do group walks with dogs from other households?
No. I do not offer group walks which mixes dogs from many households. I give personalised and individual attention to the dogs from your household.
What if I want you to take my dog off lead will you do that?
No. I put the safety and wellbeing of your dog above all else. On leash I have full control of the dog and any situation that can arise. And situations can arise! If you want your dog off leash then I am not the dog walker for you.
Can you help train my dog while out on the walk?
Yes. Commands that are for their safety are something that we can work on over time such as sit, come, wait, down. Every dog is different and learns at their own pace. Any training must be fun and conducted in short bursts.
Will you pick up after my dog?
Yes. Everytime. This is my community and I want it to be safe and clean. In addition I want your dog to have a reputation of being a tidy doggo. No I will not wipe your dog’s butt, they will clean themselves.
Will you turn up if it is raining?
Yes. If it is sunny we go for a walk, if it is rainy we go for a walk. The only possible change to this is if hail or other potentially dangerous weather is forecast. In that situation, we will have a discussion on the phone and reschedule. Dogs are connected to the earth and can feel vibration in their sensitive paws. I do not agree with boots or booties. If you want your dog to wear boots or booties I am not the dog walker for you.
Can I reschedule a walk?
Yes. You will receive a booking confirmation and a reminder email in both is the link to my calendar to reschedule. To reschedule simply click on the reschedule link and find a new date and time slot that is available. You can reschedule as often as you need. The cut-off for making changes to a booking is 24-hours in advance.
Will you arrive on time?
It depends. I try very hard to make all the slots as booked but I am dealing with animals. Animals are unpredictable. Sometimes very sick animals. In addition, sometimes a client wants to have a detailed discussion about their pet and get advice or provided extra instructions. Sometimes a client has a pet emergency and they need immediate support. I am there to help so I will. Rest assured I will get to your pet. I am caring for animals it takes as long as it takes. Please do not worry.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for your pickup?
Yes. There are some simple things you can do to make the walk a great experience for your pet and I.
1) Please complete the booking questionnaire so that I have that information to hand
2) Put out somewhere obvious (but not within reach of your pet) your pets’ favorite treats if you give them treats
3) Put on your dog’s collar/harness and check it is secure
4) Ensure that your dog has a name tag and contact details attached to his collar.
I often get calls from panicked owners whose dog has gotten off leash or out of their yard and they have followed after another dog or scent gotten away from them. They get in touch with me as they can’t find them and they want me to help them look for their pet. They are very worried and distressed. That distress is amplified when they realise that there is no contact information on their dog’s collar. I have seen this time and again. Please make the small investment of having a name and contact details tag for your dog firmly attached to their collar.
5) If you have moved or changed address or changed your phone number or you have received your pet from someone else who originally registered your pet update your pets’ information on the NSW microchip register. I have worked around shelters and there is nothing worse than finding out that a pet is not microchipped, or if microchipped the contact details are out of date and the owner is not traceable. You never want your pet to have to go into the shelter system, which can have devastating consequence. Please make a small investment in time to have your pets’ information correct on the NSW Pet Registry.
6) Consider getting pet insurance. Not just for the dog walking but for the long term. Vet costs are high and even simple issues can run into thousands of dollars. You don’t want to have to make devastating decisions based on price.
Have you ever lost a pet?
No. I have never lost a pet because I take the precautions of only walking your dog on leash and I give your pet and the environment my full attention.
Can you text or call me during the walk?
No. I give your pet and the environment my full attention for their safety and enjoyment. If I am talking and texting you I am not fully present to your doggo and what is on the ground that they could eat, cars, prams, elderly people, little kids, people in wheelchairs, other dogs, the environment, and any dangers.
Do you do discounts, packages, or coupons?
No. I do not do discounts, offer packages or coupons. The price is the price. I may offer subscriptions or packages in the future for multiple bookings.
Do I need to complete the booking questionnaire?
Yes. This is the information I rely on to get to know your pet, their health situation, and their personality. I do not just take your dog and hope for the best. While your dog is with me I am conscious of their comfort and wellbeing.
Do you do dog walks on public holidays?
Yes. You can book any day of the year that my calendar shows available. Public holidays are a time of high demand for pet carers. There is a $100 surcharge for all services on NSW public holidays.
