FAQ

  • Q: Do you board pets in your home?
A: No, I do not board dogs. However, on occasion, I may board a cat. Your cat would holiday with my two friendly cats, Ludo and Willa, enjoying a cozy environment with views of the harbour and the lively street activity at Wentworth Point.

  • Q: Will my home be safe while I’m away?
A: Yes. While caring for your pets, I also ensure your home has regular activity - lights and noise - and is checked daily for security. I’ll keep an eye on things like doors, windows, sweep the entry, bring in mail and papers and general upkeep to give your home a feeling of occupation. All doors and windows are carefully secured on my departure after each visit.

  • Q: Do you care for all kinds of animals?
A: Yes. I look after all animals, big or small. From fish to finches, ducks to Dobermans, cats to chickens, I’m here to provide loving care for your pets. I have looked after large dogs, dogs with behavioral problems, and very timid and anxious dogs. For less ordinary and sensitive pets I will seek your specialist advice on their needs and care such as lizards, poultry, parrots, insects, and the like.

  • Q: Can you care for pets with special needs or medical conditions?
A: Yes. I’m experienced with pets who need medication or therapy. Whether it’s a disability or a specific medical condition, such as epilepsy or anxiety I’ll make sure your pet gets the support they need. I will take careful notes from any discussions we have and double check my understanding with you.

  • Q: Do you stay overnight?
A: No. I don’t stay overnight, I have my own pet to love on. But I can either spend the entire day on-site or make regular daily visits to ensure your pets and plants are well cared for.

  • Q: Do you walk dogs?
A: Yes. I provide long, enriching walks to keep dogs healthy and happy. I also incorporate play, games, and training into our time together to make it fun and fulfilling. When I share photos and videos most owners are surprised by the length and variety of the walks. The exception is older, injured or dogs experiencing pain. Only what is healthful and beneficial is done.

  • Q: How do I know my home and pets are in safe hands?
A: I’ve been caring for pets and plants since 2017. I have a clean police record, a working with children check, and a track record of trustworthiness. I’m also happy to meet with you before you book so you and your pets feel comfortable with me. Plus I am happy to share contact details of previous owners so that you can reference check.

  • Q: What areas do you service?
A: I primarily work in Rhodes, Ryde and Wentworth Point. If you’re outside this region, let me know—we can discuss options. On occasion I will do pet or full house sitting outside of these areas but there is a surcharge as I have to get care in for my own pets.

  • Q: Can you help in an emergency?
A: Yes. If you need someone today, I’m happy to step in. Whether it’s due to an accident, illness, travel mishaps, or even a sitter canceling (yes, that happens), I’m here to help. Once I’m booked, I do not cancel because I know firsthand the anxiety and chaos it causes for pet owners. Simply make arrangements for a key/security access and I will send a payment link. Provide as much detail as you can about your pets and their needs, and we’ll organise a quick chat to ensure everything is sorted—even if you’re already traveling.

  • Q: What if my travel plans change or I’m delayed?
A: No problem. If you need to stay longer or experience travel delays, just let me know, and I’ll do everything I can to ensure your pet is cared for during the change. I’ll charge for the extra time and if we are running low on food, treats, or litter and send you a payment link to make it easy.

  • Q: Do I need to provide food, litter, treats, and medication?
A: Yes. It’s the owner’s responsibility to organise all food, treats, litter, and medication for the full duration of your trip and my care. This helps ensure your pet stays happy and healthy with everything they’re used to and there is no disruption to their dietary needs.

  • Q: Do you take care of plants?
A: Yes. Your plants will be watered, pruned, and kept thriving while you’re away. Some people hire me soley to take care of their garden or indoor plants while they are away.

  • Q: Are you available on public holidays?
A: Yes. I can care for your pets and plants on public holidays. Please note there is a $100 surcharge for these days. I am spending special family time with your beloved family on these days not my own.

  • Q: How do I book your services?
A: It’s simple! Reach out to me in the contact page on this website. From there we can jump on a phone or video call. With the details of the dates confirmed I will share a quote and a payment link. Payment is in full and upfront. I like to meet all the pets I care for with the owner present so that you can see our interactions and be at ease as you entrust me with your loved ones. During that meeting we’ll chat about your travel timings, feeding, play and all the specific needs of your pets. At this time collect keys and you can leave confident that all is in hand.
